ROSADEL VARELA
FOUNDER
Founder, Producer. Rosadel Varela, originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, began at MTV Networks, advancing from intern to producer with credits including ROCK THE VOTE, THE STATE, TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT, ROAD RULES, UNFILTERED, and numerous TRUE LIFE series. She then transitioned to fiction, joining the select DGA Assistant Director Training Program. There, she worked with filmmakers including Woody Allen, Penny Marshall, and John Singleton, contributing to major TV series such as LAW & ORDER and SEX AND THE CITY. Rosadel also helped create and produce PANGEA DAY, a global event in partnership with TED. Her documentary credits include CONTROL ROOM (Sundance Premiere / Magnolia) about Al Jazeera and the Iraq war, and UNLOCKING THE CAGE (HBO), nominated for an Emmy in 2018 for "Best Social Issue Documentary,.” Her latest project is the 17-hour docuseries THE VOW (HBO) on NXIVM. Rosadel is an active voting member of the Television Academy's Producers and Documentary Programming peer groups. Under her Ro Seven banner, she is developing multiple fiction and nonfiction projects.
CLARA DOSSETTER
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Production Associate. Clara Dossetter is a writer, actor, and producer based in New York City. At Ro Seven, Clara assists in development and production of both scripted and unscripted projects. Graduate of The University of Michigan BFA: Acting and The Second City Chicago's Comedy Studies program. Her original pilot GEN ZETA was produced by the University of Michigan department of Film, Television, and Media, workshopped by Brent Forrester, (The Simpsons, The Office) won the Deb Lacausta and Dan Calstellaneta award for excellence in screenwriting 2023 as well as "Best Satire" at Lightworks film festival. Additionally, Clara wrote for the web series BECOMING BFA which premiered at the Laugh After Dark festival in Las Vegas and streams on YouTube.
